Platform Türkiye 2025 Conference Sheds Light on Industry Trends
Held on April 30, 2025, in Istanbul, the Platform Türkiye Conference brought together leading names from the MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) sector. Organized in collaboration with PLATFORMDER and IPAF, the event addressed both technical and strategic dimensions of the industry.
PLATFORMDER Chairman Saruhan Günaydın highlighted the sector’s rapid growth in Türkiye, noting that the number of platforms rose from 4,000 in 2013 to 35,000 in 2024—a 742% increase. However, he emphasized that Türkiye still lags behind Europe in platform density per capita, indicating significant growth potential.
IPAF CEO Peter Douglas also presented insights from Nationwide Platforms (UK), showcasing how their “Tech X” standard has improved safety and efficiency. He underlined the importance of a behavior-based safety culture where “every employee has the authority to stop unsafe work—even their manager’s.”
